Build a Computer Part II

To install the hard drive is sufficient to use one of the mounting brackets located at the forward end, or at the front of the container. Simply align the holes in the hard drive and make sure that the power ports are toward the right side, or rather that they are not blocked from the front of the retention bracket. Instead, the DVD drive to install you must remove one of the 5.25 drive bays and slide by holding down the button for retention. Make sure the unit is flush with the container and release the button. Now that all components are in place, you can connect the front panel, the USB and audio cables to the motherboard. Check the motherboard manual for details on how to do this.

Now you need to install the power supply. It can be mounted in up or down. Simply match the screw holes of the PSU. Four screws are all that is required, neither more nor less, just remember to orient the PSU in its proper position within the container. Also, remember to plug the hard drive and DVD drive data cables to the ports on the motherboard.

The last step to build a computer is the installation of the operating system. At this point you can choose which operating system you use Linux or Windows. Update your operating system and drivers to get the most from the new computer, connect a mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, and you have finished building the computer!
