Intel has unveiled the roadmap of its CPU production. In 2019 we will have 5-nanometer processors. The company confirmed in a good position with regard to the life cycle of plants.

Intel sells CPUs to 22 nanometers in 2012. The company already has a well defined roadmap for the next 10 years and does not believe that there are reasons to slow the pace of processor development. Already in 2013 we could see 15-nanometer products, while in 2015 it will go to 11 nanometers. The CPU 8 nm could reach the market in 2017, while in 2019 will be the turn of the 5 nanometers.

A race to miniaturization, which puts to rest the claims, often alarmist, increasingly exorbitant cost of the productive sector and insurmountable physical limits. According to the U.S. giant will be no problems for at least 10 years.

Intel is in a good position. In addition to enjoying a production process more efficient than its competitors, seems to have found a way to bring in their plants, increasing the production cycle. The perfect example is the Fab 11X, whose construction began in 1999 and today is used in manufacturing to 32 nm.
